How to study for NEET PG 2022
The NEET PG exam has a reputation which precedes. It is rated globally as one of the toughest competitive entrance exams for students to crack in the area of medical studies. The cut off or the eligibility score for candidates to be considered for counselling for the NEET PG Exam is assigned every year in the percentile format & students need to outshine that score by a meaty margin for that particular session. We shall share some tips and tricks to help the aspirants crack the exam with flying colours. With a vast syllabus to cover and steep competition every passing year, here are a few things to keep in mind while studying for the Exam.
Previous Year Papers
Prepare a timetable to organize your routine and know your syllabus properly. Make it a habit to solve previous year papers after dedicating time to study a certain subject and time yourself on it.
Be well Accustomed with Computer-Based Test Environment
The NEET PG entrance exam is going to be a computer based test instead of the regular pen and paper format. Ensure your preparations are in the same format as the pen paper format is an altogether different ball game.
Revision is a Must
Practice makes any habit perfect or at least nearest or closest to the same. So when studying for recall value, ensure you supplement with adequate revisions. So, allot time accordingly for revisions as well. Cover the syllabus well ahead of time so that the last month can be only for revisions. This helps refresh known concepts and improves recall value.
Number of Questions to Attempt
Avoid selective studying and do not fix your mind on any particular number of questions to attempt. Nobody can predict the outcome of the merit list until the cut-off for that year is released. Hence try and attempt all questions or make it a point to cover the entire question paper instead of segregating portions.
Beware of Negative Marking
The newly introduced negative marking eliminates chances of surprise entry or wild card entries who have attempted all questions merely by guesswork. Hence the new challenge for all aspirants is to attempt questions they are completely sure of answering correctly. Those attempting to answer questions with guesswork will land in trouble by having marks deducted for every wrong answer.
