NEET PG Preparation strategy. How to start studying?
The curriculum of the NEET PG exam is one thing that challenges even the brightest of students. For this exam, students are expected to be well versed with the entire MBBS syllabus, which requires them to be disciplined and dedicated in their preparation.
Another thing that is necessary for NEET PG exams is a ‘Preparation Strategy’. Learning and retaining such an extensive curriculum cannot be done casually and a robust study plan is a must.
Here are some simple tips that will help you come up with a winning preparation strategy and give your NEET PG preparations a running start:
1. Understand the Exam Pattern - To prepare a strategy you should first go through a few previous years exams and get a general sense of what to expect in it. Doing this will familiarize you with aspects like marking scheme, important subjects and type of questions etc.
2. Go through the syllabus - The next important thing is to get an overview of all the subjects that you need to cover. This will help you figure out the time you will need to invest in covering the entire curriculum and help you set a target.
3. Identify your strengths and weaknesses - This is a critical part of coming up with a preparation strategy. Knowing your strong and weak subjects will help you prioritise the topics and carry out your NEET PG preparations in a structured manner.
4. Create an effective timetable - In the previous points, we have discussed the exam pattern, syllabus and strengths and weaknesses. When you finally prepare your timetable, you must inculcate all these three points.
